Homestay Coordinator
Green Bay High School is seeking a self-motivated, self-managing and organised staff member to join our strong and successfully expanding International Department.  The position is for 30 hours per week and the successful candidate should have the ability to work flexible and / or additional hours including evenings, weekends and school holidays if needed. Duties will involve:
  • the recruitment, training and monitoring of host families
  • Scheduling pick ups, placements, and payments
  • Communication with families, agents and students
  • Pastoral care of students
  • Database Management
  • Facilitating conflict resolution meetings 

A sensitivity to the pastoral needs of multi-cultural students who are away from their homeland and the ability to work in a highly confidential environment is essential for this role.  Ideally, you will have:

  •  Experience and empathy with teenagers and families
  •  Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  •  Excellent written and spoken English. Other languages an advantage. 
  •  Patience, tolerance, adaptability 
  •  Excellent time management and organisational skills
  •  Good working knowledge of Google Office Suite
  •  Familiarity with E-schools software is advantageous but not essential
  •  Clean Driver’s License as the role may involve transporting students
