Making History

USA trip 2019
While many students while be looking forward to sleeping in and re-charging their batteries over the term break, seventeen students from Green Bay High School are continuing with their studies…in USA!

The group of Social Sciences students will travel with Hannah Hopkins and Leah Stewart to the USA this school break, to further investigate the Black Civil Rights History.

Starting their tour in Little Rock Arkansas and traveling through the south to Birmingham and Montgomery Alabama, before heading north to Washington DC and finishing in New York City. Students will visit various sights and museums of significance to the Black Civil Rights movement, including Central High in Little Rock, the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery and the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham.

In Washington DC students will get to enjoy a baseball game and in New York they will spend time sightseeing the Statue of Liberty and relaxing in Central Park.
