Japan Visitors

NZ Cultural Experience
Sayonara! We were very pleased to extend a warm welcome (and genuine goodbye) to 33 students from Shinagawa Girls’ High School (Japan) who, as part of their Year 10 schooling, come to New Zealand for a cultural awareness programme.

The whole cohort are divided amongst six schools within the Auckland region. Our guests have had a wonderful time interacting with students and staff, spending time in ESL classes and accompanying their host buddy into mainstream classes.

Such exchanges benefit both learners of English and Japanese, enabling them to share cultural awareness and linguistic skills. Our international visitors are enjoying the summer weather, taking advantage of local sights and sounds, and visiting the University of Auckland.

A big thank you to the buddies for being amazing ambassadors. Thank you also to our host families for sharing your homes and showing your kiwi hospitality.
