Positive Behaviour for Learning

The Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) team at Green Bay High School is continuing to build a school culture where positive behaviour and learning is encouraged, recognised and rewarded.

PB4L is based on systems and practices which are in place to support students to make positive behaviour choices.

GBTs (Good Behaviour Tags) are part of our reward system. Students will be issued with a red tag that they then can collect and cash in for prizes at our PB4L shop. Tags can be rewarded by any member of staff for showing any of the 4 school values:

  • Excellence / Rau o te Huia: being outstanding or extremely good.
  • Courage / Ko Kauri: having the mind or spirit that enables you to face difficulty without fear.
  • Respect / He Tangata, He Tangata: showing due regard for the feelings, wishes or rights of others.
  • Responsiveness / E Tipu e Rea: adapting quickly, positively and appropriately to changing circumstances.

That’s right…those little red tags are as good as money at our PB4L shop! Open each Thursday, between 8.45am – 9.10am (go to the roller door between L6 and L7). The amount of tags collected relates to the choice of products available. See your Form teacher for more details.
