Info Evening

25 October
Following the huge success of the Operation Wallacea trip to Indonesia earlier this year, we have decided to go again and we are calling for interest from Year 10 and 11 students who want to join us on this exciting and life-changing experience!

Please come along to our Parent Information Evening, to be held
on Thursday 25th October, at 7.00pm in the School Auditorium.

What is involved? Students will be travelling to the Island of Buton in Indonesia for two weeks, where the team will join Scientists from around the world, helping them to measure plants and animals; collect data for NASA and climb 30m trees into the forest canopy. During the second week students will learn to dive (students actually get their PADI dive certification) and take measurements of marine life on the coral reefs.

This trip is aimed at those who have an interest in the environment and are of an intrepid nature. There is space for a maximum of 32 students – so first in first served. For more information check out the Operation Wallacea website or email [email protected] (or) [email protected]
