Shave For a Cure

2018
Just a few months after ‘shaving for a cure’ the closely shaven heads of our courageous students are now nicely coated with the new growth of fresh locks.

This week, a representative from Shave For A Cure, Krissy Graham, came to Green Bay High School to present the official 2018 Shave For A Cure certificate.

Gemma Rundle, Ethan Carter-Johnson, Gilles Bullinga, Isaac Pont, Jessica Cosgrove, Maggie Flounders, Matt Belaunzaran, Peter Ursem, Reed Lapwood-Green, Ronan Cowie, and Timothy Hopkins volunteered to be part of the ‘Great Shave’ raising a total of $6696.25.

This group has made a significant contribution, and are currently in the top 10 groups for highest amount fund-raised. This is just another example of Green Bay High School students serving their community, while upholding our school values:

EXCELLENCE / RAU O TE HUIA: being outstanding or extremely good
COURAGE / KO KAURI: having the mind or spirit that enables you to face difficulty without fear
RESPECT / HE TANGATA, HE TANGATA: showing due regard for the feelings, wishes or rights of others
RESPONSIVENESS / E TIPU, E REA: adapting quickly, positively and appropriately to changing circumstances.
