Year 11 Construction students are putting their carpentry skills to the test making sturdy, built-for-purpose cabinets.

Pictured above are: (Left) Ibrahim Al Shanour, and (Right) Aaron Bray, with the support and encouragement of Ulata Hurt and Alex Gibson.

GBHS Construction focuses on developing practical skills and uses Unit Standards developed and moderated by the Building Construction Industry Training Organisation (BCITO).

This course offers students a broad range of construction knowledge and skills. Students gain experience in planning and managing materials and tools, working on carpentry and joinery projects while completing theory work booklets to show subject knowledge.
