Warm welcome

Debbie Keymer
Over the next few issues of our weekly newsletter, we will showcase some of the very talented teachers who have joined us at the start of term 3.

This week we are pleased to introduce Debbie Keymer.

Many students will be familiar with Debbie, who spent some time at Green Bay High School last term as a student teacher. Having recently graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching from AUT. Debbie now has a permanent position and is a welcome addition to our Business and Social Sciences department.

With a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Management Double Major), an NZ Diploma in Business, a Diploma in Small Business Management, and a Diploma in Human Resources, Debbie certainly has what it takes to help students make their mark in the world of finance!

Before studying to become a teacher, Debbie delivered health literacy, financial literacy and adult literacy programmes within our local community on a part-time basis – while raising her family.

Some of you may have seen Debbie within our local community during her role as an active member of Sport Waitakere, where she worked as a Healthy Families Waitakere Activator promoting health environments for young children aged 0-5 and as an Active Lifestyles Coordinator for children ages 5-15.
