The National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) 
is New Zealand’s main secondary school qualification for students in Year 11–13 and is and used for selection by universities and polytechnics nationally and internationally. NCEA is a national qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications Authority – Mana Tohu Mātauranga o Aotearoa (NZQA) which has a formal quality assurance process to ensure that the assessment of each standard is fair across all students, regardless of the school they attend.
