Mathematics Teacher

Malo e lelei
Ko hoku hingoa ko Ana Ma – my name is Ana Ma and I am very excited to be working in the Mathematics department at Green Bay High School, specialising in Mathematics and Statistics.

I have a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Applied Mathematics and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education, from The University of Auckland.

I have vast Mathematical knowledge and teaching experiences, having taught at Mt Roskill Grammar for three years, before taking the family to California (where we lived for a year while my husband completed his Post Graduate in Mathematics). Upon returning to New Zealand as a family (we have three beautiful children aged 8, 5 and 2) I then became the NZQA Exam Centre Manager at Mangere College, where I worked for the past two years.

Family and culture are very important to me. I am looking forward to getting to know the students of Green Bay High School and working in partnership with their families, as well as working with the school’s Pasifika community to further develop student interest within the school’s Pasifika culture group.
