COVID-19 UPDATE

18 March 2020
Dear Families and Whānau, this morning we were made aware of a staff member who has had secondary contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19. The staff member has not had direct contact with the infected person and has had limited interaction with the secondary contact who is a flatmate.

The school is closely following the Ministry of Health protocols and the staff member is now in self-isolation and will be tested for Covid-19. We are continuing to seek guidance from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education to ensure that we are following official protocols and guidelines.

We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and communicate with you accordingly.

Kind regards
Fiona Barker
Principal

Currently there is incorrect information on the radio and in the media which is saying that we have a confirmed case of COVID-19. This is NOT accurate and we will continue to update you with any further information as it comes to hand. The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us.
