Delectable Delights

Level 1
You don’t normally expect delicate delicacies and delectable delights during a week day lunch – but here at Green Bay High School Hospitality students were more than hospitable – they were exceptional!

Hospitality students laid their knowledge of food preparation and cooking skills on the table, and invited whanau (and some lucky staff members) to join them in an afternoon high tea – as part of a Level 1 NCEA assessment.

As you can see by some of the images above, their planning and processing, budgeting and baking all paid off with a mouth watering display of sweet and savoury finger foods on offer.

The food was delicious! Students did a wonderful job of cooking, presenting, and making their guests feel welcome. Jos Groot even had to do a ‘Paper, Rock, Scissors’ challenge to decide who was going to get the last mini-pizza!
