Give a Kid a Blanket fundraiser
Green Bay High School’s Green Impact group would like to thank our school parents, staff and local community for your support of the recent fundraising drive for the ‘Give a Kid a Blanket’ charity.

As you can see in the image above, there was a great haul of both new and used items for needy families affected by COVID-19. Bernie Harfleet (pictured above left) co-founder of the Give a Kid a Blanket charity came in to meet our Green Impact team on Wednesday and posted this heartfelt message on the charity’s Facebook page.

“Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting members of the Green Impact Group at Green Bay High School. This group had organised a donation collection in the school and had an impressive collection of kindness to hand over. Once again I was struck by how important youth are to our future, with these future leaders already moving and shaking to better consider our and the planet’s future.
Of note too is the way motivation and kindness runs in families, passed on from generation to generation, not just through words but actions. Jack who is on the left in this photo is one of the sons of Louise and Matt who run The Sleep Store and give us amazing support. His grandparents Heather and Jerry, Louise’s parents had been working at our base as volunteers that same morning, as they do each week. Magic.”
