To complete the internal assessment section of the Level Three History course, a research trip is taken to the Auckland Central Library to collect relevant information about an historical event that has significance to New Zealanders.

Date:   Wednesday, 14th March, 2018

We will be travelling on public transport from New Lynn Train Station to Britomart and walking up to the Central Library on Lorne Street. Students will have to make their own way to New Lynn train station, meeting there at 9am. We will be returning to New Lynn by 3pm (Travel times dependent on public transport system). Cost will be $7.00 per student. Consent forms need to be returned to the teacher and payments to accounts, by Wednesday 7th March


Pen, pencil, refill, hard backed tablet or exercise book for writing. Prepared and specific questions. Loose change for the photocopiers or a device to photograph information.


Students can either bring their own lunch, or some money to buy lunch on Queen Street.


Students need to wear clothing appropriate to represent the school in public.   Something comfortable for the weather conditions on the day (warm clothes, raincoat etc) and shoes suitable for walking between train stops and destinations will be necessary.
