Getting in the festive spirit
Students in the Language department have been getting into the festive spirit.

Year 10 Spanish classes made Tortilla Española as an end of year activity and a way of celebrating a year spent together learning Spanish. The German language students have been learning about and celebrating Nikolaustag (St Nicholas Day). Japanese students have learned how to write their name in Hiragana and Katakana, and also had a kanji name designed for them. They have been practicing how to write this correctly before using fabric paint to write it on a T-shirt. They also learned about chopstick etiquette – do’s and don’t’s when using chopsticks, and made hashi-oki (chopstick rests) so they don’t put their chopsticks on the table or bowl when eating.
