Students enthusiastic about precision design…

Engineering and Technology students now have the ability to work with 3D design components, thanks to marvellous new CNC Milling Machine.

Green Bay High School is the first school in New Zelanad, that we are aware of, to have a computer numerical control (CNC) Milling Machine. The Technology department has recently installed their ‘new toy’. This machine will allow Engineering and Technology students to design components using the departments 3D computer aided design packages on our newly installed PC’s and then machine them using the Milling Machine to an accuracy of 0.1mm. The machine greatly increases students ability to create project work with tailored engineered components.
